1.62 Update: DAF XG+ Emerald, Sapphire & 30 Years in Czechia Editions
Weβre excited to share a closer look at three new editions of the DAF XG+ coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the 1.62 Update! Featuring distinctive paint jobs, exclusive exterior accessories, and specially designed interiors, the Emerald, Sapphire, and 30 Years in Czechia Editions each bring their own unique character to the road.
Whether you prefer the elegant look of deep green, the striking appearance of sapphire blue, or a special edition celebrating three decades of DAF in the Czech Republic, there is plenty to discover. Letβs take a closer look at what these new configurations have to offer!
DAF XG+ 30 Years in Czechia Edition
The DAF XG+ 30 Years in Czechia Edition celebrates DAFβs 30-year presence in the Czech Republic with a special design inspired by the brandβs heritage. Its traditional royal orange paint job is complemented by unique anniversary logos, creating a distinctive appearance that pays tribute to this milestone.
The exterior features exclusive details, including a black air intake grille with painted trim, a matching black sunshield, and a choice of black or original roof lights. The truck also receives a unique black DAF badge, linked to the engine power configuration, with the option to switch back to the original silver version. An additional black anniversary badge beneath the side XG+ badge adds another special touch.
The wheel setup also received dedicated attention, with exclusive rear wheel covers and black wheel nuts with matching caps. Completing the exterior look is an illuminated DAF logo.
Inside the cab, drivers can enjoy an exclusive Czech 30th Anniversary interior, designed specifically for the XG+ cab. The new seats feature embroidered DAF 30 logos and premium upholstery, combining black leather or high-quality Alcantara fabric accents with detailed orange diamond-pattern stitching.
The upper bunk also receives special treatment, featuring Alcantara upholstery with a subtle grey pattern inspired by the Czech flag. Together, these details create a distinctive interior that celebrates the anniversary while maintaining the premium feel of the DAF XG+.
DAF XG+ Emerald Edition
For drivers who appreciate a refined and distinctive appearance, the DAF XG+ Emerald Edition introduces a striking Forest Dawn green paint job. This rich colour is complemented by a collection of exclusive exterior details and interior finishes, creating a cohesive look throughout the truck.
The exterior features a grille with painted trim, a coloured sunshield, and a white DAF logo. An exclusive Emerald side badge further distinguishes this edition from the standard DAF XG+.
The attention to detail continues around the cab, with a black door handle featuring a painted accent, black side window trim, and a unique chassis side skirt with matching painted details for the 4x2 chassis configuration.
Inside, the Emerald Edition features an exclusive interior designed to complement its green exterior. Drivers will find dedicated floor mats and a distinctive diamond-pattern design inspired by emeralds, featured on the mattress and upper bunk. Specially designed curtains complete the interior, adding another layer of character to this edition.
DAF XG+ Sapphire Edition
Completing the trio is the DAF XG+ Sapphire Edition, featuring a Sapphire Blue paint job.
The Sapphire Edition features a distinctive black DAF logo, side window trim, and a painted chassis side skirt on the 4x2 chassis. These details give the truck its own identity while maintaining the premium atmosphere of the DAF XG+.
Three Editions, One DAF XG+
Each of these three new DAF XG+ editions brings something different to the road. The 30 Years in Czechia Edition celebrates an important milestone with heritage-inspired styling and anniversary details, while the Emerald and Sapphire Editions focus on distinctive colours and coordinated accessories.
Whether youβre drawn to the anniversary details of the 30 Years in Czechia Edition or the elegant colours of the Emerald and Sapphire Editions, these new configurations offer plenty of ways to make your DAF XG+ stand out on the road. We hope youβll enjoy discovering these new editions and making them your own when they arrive with the 1.62 Update!
As always, weβd love to hear which of these three editions is your favourite.Β Make sure to give our X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and TikTok a follow, as you'll receive news from any upcoming updates straight to your feed, or subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed.Β Until next time, happy trucking!

Distribution Release: Kubuntu 26.10

v1.19.2
Core
Bugfixes
- OpenCode 1 now stays on the 1.x release line: update checks use only the npm
opencode-ailatest version, so 1.x installs are never offered a 2.x build as a regular update. - Upgrading to OpenCode 2 remains a separate, explicit choice through the 2.0 offer in
/updateoropencode upgrade --major. - Fix upgrades for installs managed by yarn.
- Skip 1.x updates for Homebrew Core installs, which now track OpenCode 2, and check tap and Chocolatey availability before offering an update.
- The install script refuses to install 2.x versions.
Distribution Release: Ubuntu Unity 26.10

v1.15.0 - Plugins Everywhere, Faster Folders & Default Reminders
1.15.0 (2026-10-15)
1.15.0 opens the plugin system up: plugins can add UI in most places of the app, hear and stop most actions, and use accounts and API keys through the server without seeing them, and users can install their own plugins once an admin has reviewed the code. Opening folders and messages is faster, with far fewer re-renders and requests. Calendars get default reminders, notifications can be muted per folder or account, and every sign-in is now remembered unless the admin shows the Remember me box.

Features
- Notifications: Folders and whole accounts can be muted from the folder context menu. A muted folder or account sends no push notifications and shows a muted mark in the sidebar (#1169, thanks @xnilsit)
- Calendar: Each calendar has default reminders, set in calendar management. New events start on them, an event that switches back to the defaults picks up the current ones, and the event popover lists every reminder (#1209, thanks @rich0)
- Calendar: Each reminder can be a notification or an email (#1209, thanks @rich0)
- Accounts: Shared mail accounts can be hidden from the sidebar, from their context menu or under Settings > Layout (#1228, thanks @chodid)
- Mail: The prompt before deleting several messages can be turned off (#1225, thanks @mmomjian)
- UI: In Mountain View, several messages of a conversation can be open at once, the compose window stays open while reading other mail, and the selection is kept while reading a message (#1222, #1229, #1231, thanks @mmomjian)
- UI: Ctrl+K opens a command palette, and a notifications panel collects plugin notifications and app errors
- Admin: "Custom From Address" under Admin > Policy turns off the free-text sender address in the composer, so users can only send as their identities
- Admin: Without a configured SESSION_SECRET, one is generated on first start and kept in data/admin-state. Keep that folder on a persistent volume
- Plugins: Users can install their own plugins from Settings > Plugins when the admin allows uploads. The server reads the manifest and code itself, the admin reviews the actual code in the Plugins tab before approving, and the approval is checked again on every start. Settings lists in plain words what each plugin may do
- Plugins: Plugins can add UI to the message list, reader, composer, sidebar, top bar, calendar, contacts, tasks, files and settings, and pages of their own with a navigation entry. Every area has its own permission
- Plugins: Plugins are told about sign-in, navigation, mail, folder, calendar, contact, task, file, template, identity, filter, preference and theme changes, and can stop most of them
- Plugins: Plugins can read messages and folders, move and archive messages, open a filled-in composer or a reply, edit the message being written, save drafts, read and change events and tasks, and manage templates, signatures and the out-of-office reply
- Plugins: Users connect accounts for plugins in a dialog the plugin can't read, and plugins use those accounts and admin-set API keys through the server without seeing them
- Plugins: The UI kit gives plugins the app's own controls and dialogs, plus side panels, detail rows, colour dots, labelled check boxes and a change preview
- Plugins: Marketplace installs check the extension directory's signature
Changes
- Login: The Remember me box is hidden by default and every sign-in is remembered. Set LOGIN_SHOW_REMEMBER_ME=true to show the box again
- Performance: Opening a message, switching folders and searching render much less. Message rows, the folder sidebar and the reading pane only redraw what changed, a visited folder reopens without reloading, and a message starts loading when the mouse is pressed on it
- Performance: Login loads the mailboxes and first page once instead of twice, the mail view's code loads while the login form is shown, and large HTML messages open with one request instead of two
- Performance: Search results show before their highlighted excerpts arrive, and the list stays on screen while a search runs
Fixes
- Send: Attachments stay sendable after the server's upload time limit runs out (#1243, thanks @lemourin)
- Send: Uploads over 10 MB that pass through the server, such as office documents saved from the editor, are no longer cut off
- Login: The sign-in response stays small enough for proxies when OIDC tokens are large, so logins on a subdomain no longer fail with a 502 (#1237, thanks @kadogams)
- Login: Lite reloads into the login page instead of a missing route
- Mail: The storage quota counts against the soft limit when the server sets one (#1242, thanks @somus)
- Mail: The All mail and All unread views leave out a server's own "all" mailbox (#1241, thanks @somus)
- Mail: Contacts, filters, calendars and files are only offered for shared accounts that support them (#1239, thanks @somus)
- Mail: User folders named like system folders, such as "Spam reports", get the plain folder icon (#1235, thanks @dlrudie)
- Mail: ISO timestamps are no longer offered as verification codes (#1236, thanks @mmomjian)
- Mail: Shift-click selects the rows shown between the two ends instead of messages in other conversations from that time span (#1230, thanks @mmomjian)
- Mail: The message list no longer reorders or repaints when switching accounts, and the loading skeleton no longer flickers after a reload or account switch
- Mail: In Mountain View, a message opens together with its conversation, and threads open as a conversation on the phone (#1223, #1224, thanks @mmomjian)
- Identities: A new identity is created without blank signatures (#1240, thanks @somus)
- Composer: A cell range pasted from Excel becomes a table instead of an image (#1233, thanks @soringabrielalbu)
- Composer: Text typed under the signature stays when the signature is swapped or removed, and picking a From address without a signature removes the old one
- Composer: Dropped files no longer insert their path into the message body
- Composer: The top and bottom bar buttons are easier to hit on a phone
- Calendar: Invitations and replies carry the sender's Message-ID
- Contacts: The contact name stays readable when the detail pane is narrow
- UI: The iOS app gets its full screen height back after resuming (#1226, thanks @mmomjian)
- UI: An attachment's download and menu buttons show when the keyboard reaches them
- Plugins: A message is never sent when a plugin that checks it before sending fails or does not answer, and plugins can no longer block or stall sign-out
- Plugins: Privileged plugins need a signed bundle, plugin network access is limited to the origins in the manifest, plugin bundles are only served to signed-in users, and slot plugins only get messages, events or contacts with the matching read permission
- Plugins: Plugin and theme packages are checked the same way on every install path, marketplace bundles whose id differs from the directory entry are refused, and Theme API v2 themes install from the admin page and the marketplace
- Plugins: A deleted or disabled theme is no longer forced, an extension keeps its admin state on re-upload, and a plugin's stored data is cleared when the admin removes it
- Plugins: Plugins start once on every page, get their default settings, follow setting and language changes without a reload, and lay out right-to-left in Arabic, Hebrew and Persian
- Plugins: Actions a plugin stopped are no longer reported as done
- Plugins: Plugin buttons and panels fold away in narrow composers, toolbars and phone layouts instead of overlapping, and plugin frames keep the app's theme in dark mode
- Translations: The new plugin, calendar reminder and notification strings are translated, and "composer" and the certificate subject are no longer translated as a music composer and an email subject

PostgreSQL 19 RC 1 Released!
The PostgreSQL Global Development Group announces that the first release candidate of PostgreSQL 19 is now available for download. As a release candidate, PostgreSQL 19 RC 1 will be mostly identical to the initial release of PostgreSQL 19, though some more fixes may be applied prior to the general availability of PostgreSQL 19.
The next scheduled update release for supported versions of PostgreSQL, on November 12, 2026, will include a large number of fixes. Because of this, the release team decided to include these fixes in PostgreSQL 19 before its general availability. This means a second release candidate, PostgreSQL 19 RC 2, will be available on the same day as the update release.
The planned date for the general availability of PostgreSQL 19 is November 19, 2026. Please see the "Release Schedule" section for more details.
Upgrading to PostgreSQL 19 RC 1
To upgrade to PostgreSQL 19 RC 1 from earlier versions of PostgreSQL, you will
need to use a major version upgrade strategy, e.g. pg_upgrade or
pg_dump / pg_restore. For more information, please visit the documentation
section on upgrading:
https://www.postgresql.org/docs/19/upgrading.html
Changes Since 19 Beta 4
Several bug fixes were applied to PostgreSQL 19 during the Beta 4 period. These include:
- Several fixes for
REPACK (CONCURRENTLY). - Several fixes for
pg_plan_advice. - Several fixes for new query planner optimizations that rely on whether an
expression can be
NULL. - Several fixes for the automatic enablement of logical replication
when
wal_levelis set toreplica. - Fix
postgres_fdwstatistics import to run as the owner of the foreign table instead of the user runningANALYZE. - Several fixes for parallel autovacuum.
- Fix
COPY (query) TO ... (FORMAT json)to use the query's column names, including aliases, as the JSON keys instead of the table's column names.
For a detailed list of fixes, please visit the open items page.
Release Schedule
This is the first release candidate for PostgreSQL 19. The release team plans to issue a second release candidate, PostgreSQL 19 RC 2, on November 12, 2026. Unless an issue is discovered that requires a delay or an additional release candidate, PostgreSQL 19 should be made generally available on November 19, 2026.

Return to Brackenreach Event
A portal swirls, and from within
The land of Brackenreach you hear
The Witches calling, crystal clear.Β
They beckon you to help once more,
And welcome you upon their shore.
With fire, earth and air they say,
βThree gifts await along the way!βΒ
βDriver bold, come cross our land,
With pumpkin magic treats in hand.
From dock to keep, from vale to shore,
Six runs you needβand maybe more!βΒ
The tall ship waits beside the quay,
For tides the sisters stir at sea.
Past marshland mist and village glow,
Where grinning pumpkins watch you go.Β
Through Dragonβs Den to Castle Keep,
Where shadows stir and secrets sleep.
The sisters watch as lanterns glow,
And guard the winding road below.Β
As thanks, one wisp will light your way,
Where others lead the lost astray.
A brass key bears the rune of earth,
To show the sisters know your worth.Β
Seek out the witchesβ hidden home,
Where embers glow upon a tome.
The Ember Grimoire holds its spells,
To guard the land where magic dwells.Β
Upon return, attend the call,
To spread the spooky treats for all,
Not just to Brackenhelm as one,
But cities, towns and everyone.Β
For Hauloween is in the air,
And thereβs no time to flee nor dare
To hide away from all the treats
That wait for you, but not to eat,
NO, they must be hauled, delivered quick,
Then parked away, now thatβs the trick!Β
This Halloween, prepare to cross the veil in our Return to Brackenreach - World of Trucks event! The hidden and treacherous roads of Brackenreach have reopened for truckers in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, whether you are returning or entering the realm for the first time. Adventure and new rewards await, so let's roll!
This year, we are asking our #BestCommunityEver to work together towards a combined community goal of 1,300,000 deliveries. It is another ambitious challenge, but after everything our community achieved last Halloween, we know that no goal is beyond your reach!
As autumn thins the veil once more, the road to Brackenreach reopens. The three sisters who ward this land, mistresses of fire, earth, and air, have not forgotten the truckers who came to their aid last year, and this Halloween their call reaches beyond the veil once more. The marsh mist still hides the wisps that lead the lost, the tall ship still waits at the docks for tides stirred by old magic, and the pumpkins of the village still grin their crooked, knowing grins as you pass. In gratitude, each sister has prepared a special gift, kept safe until the road reopened. Help the witches and villagers once more by carrying Halloween supplies through the portals and along the winding roads to Castle Brackenhelm. Brackenreach remembers. Will you answer the call?
Your personal goal? Complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, more details in the rules below.
Alongside your journeys to and from Brackenreach, you will help bring the Halloween festivities to cities throughout the homeland by delivering supplies between them. Enchanted cargo will also pass back through the portals, carrying a little of Brackenreach into the outside world, perhaps a gesture of gratitude from the witches to those who answered their call.
Our #ReturnToBrackenreach event will once again bring the magic of Brackenreach to your desktop with its spellbinding Halloween theme. We hope its lively and spooky atmosphere helps set the mood for every journey beyond the veil!Β
We will also be hosting a special developer live stream where we'll discuss how the event was designed, share fun insights, and enjoy Halloween in a nice and relaxed session while playing and contributing towards the community goal. Join usΒ on Twitch, YouTube, or FacebookΒ on Monday, October 19, from 6 pm CESTΒ as we journey into Brackenreach!
Return to Brackenreach Rules:
Using External Contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, or both, the community goal is to achieve 1,300,000 deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies to or from any city, including the mysterious land of Brackenreach, where your destination will be Castle Brackenhelm.Β
There are 4 types of cargo that can be delivered in this event:
- Halloween Treats
- Halloween Costumes
- Halloween Herbs & Spices
- Halloween Crafts
Your personal goal is to complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, using Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both games combined.
Your bonus goal is to discover the Witches' House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, by driving to it.
Rewards
- Personal: Players who complete the required 15 or more Halloween deliveries will gain a unique World of Trucks Achievement plus a mystical Wisp Lantern cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.
- Community: When the community goal of achieving 1,300,000 Halloween deliveries is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will also receive the fabled Key to Brackenreach hanging cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.
- Discovery: When the player discovers the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, they will receive the mysterious Ember Grimoire cabin item, as a Steam inventory item. Players will also receive last year's reward of a Spooky Horn vehicle accessory, at the same time.
Brackenreach directions:
A portal to Brackenreach appears once you accept event cargo bound for Castle Brackenhelm.Β Find it on the map, a spiral icon, and navigate to it. Look for the sparkles with falling autumn leaves!
Leaving Brackenreach with cargo takes you to its destination; without cargo, youβll be sent to a random city for a new job.
Note: In order to qualify for any community reward, you must complete at least your personal goal in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.
The event will be concluded on Sunday, the 1st of November at 23:59 UTC.
We're super excited to welcome you back to the legendary land of Brackenreach and hear tales of your journeys through the veil once more. From the misty marshes to Castle Brackenhelm, the three guardian witches await your help, with gifts of fire, earth and air to thank you for your deliveries. It means so much to all the teams who brought this magical land to life to see you return, and weβd love to see photos of your adventures as you reach your goals and claim the sistersβ rewards this Halloween.Β Share your screenshots and videos with us using the hashtag #ReturnToBrackenreach on our Facebook ATS / ETS2, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram profiles, and we will share our favourite ones.
